About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading MEP and sheet metal contractor supporting large-scale construction projects across the country. They are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a data center construction project in Pecos, Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in project management. Whether you come from a construction, engineering, MEP, facilities, or related background, this role provides hands-on exposure to one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction: data centers.
The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and interested in growing into a Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination of data center construction projects
Assist with project schedules, budgets, and documentation
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and clients
Help track equipment procurement, material deliveries, and project milestones
Attend project meetings and document action items and project updates
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
Assist with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project reporting
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Provide administrative and operational support throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required
Internship, co-op, field experience, or coursework related to construction is a plus
Interest in construction project management and the MEP industry
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry Plus if candidates come from below:
