171 Duty days (student contact days)

6.75 hours per day

Salary/Wages: $19.52-$23.25 per hour per Educational Assistant Work Agreement

Overview of the Position:

As an Educational Assistant (EA), you will belong to a great team that supports students and teachers in the school and classroom. An EA provides the necessary support that enables the students to succeed and grow, both academically and in their independence. We expect our EA's to be advocates and positive role models for the students and staff they work with in the school.

Summary of Duties:

Provide students with defined supports from their Individualized Education Plans under the direction of the Special Education teacher.

Collect data on student progress the general or special education classroom under the direction of the special education teacher.

Partner with teachers and administrators to provide the best possible educational environment for students.

Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the school year to best serve students.

Minimum Education Required

Required: High School Diploma. Additional coursework in child development and/or experience in working with children/young adults is preferred.

Minimum Experience Required

Preferred: Experience working with students with special needs
