WHAT WE'RE DOING

Leads those who manage Program Quality within the SEMS Line of Business. The QPM Lead will oversee the implementation and execution of program quality requirements for programs spanning Development, Production, Spares and other Customer defined efforts.

THE WORK

  • Understand and Ensure execution of quality tasking across disciplines leverage required SQA, PQA, and SWQA knowledge that spans hardware, software, systems, suppliers, and customers.

  • Partner with cross‑functional program leadership and serve as the Quality Lead for design, development, production, and mobilization phases of program execution.

  • Apply company policies and command media as required and ensure effective contract reviews are conducted and contract quality requirements are flowed to program quality teams and suppliers.

  • Develop and approve cost estimates for quality‑related program tasks using established and accepted estimating methods.

  • Establish and manage quality‑department budgets, cost commitments, and headcount plans, providing responsibility for all quality aspects throughout the program life‑cycle from proposals and contract review through start‑up, development, transition to production, production, and support.Document, implement and maintain Quality Assurance Plans and ensure they are applied consistently across all programs within the market segment.

  • Develop comprehensive, value‑add audit schedule that covers internal processes and supplier activities to address identified risk areas within assigned market segment.

  • Participate in independent program reviews representing Quality, identify risks, drive Return‑to‑Green corrective actions, and maintain positive relationships with DCMA and customers, representing the market‑segment/site in external stakeholder engagements.

  • Ensure effective Quality Program Teams through regular meetings, use of standardized reporting mechanisms, and governance for all programs in the market segment.Act as the Primary Quality Point of Contact, supporting sub‑market‑segment initiatives, driving program improvements, and presenting activities, issues, and accomplishments to the Program Director and functional leads.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education

  • Strong understanding of AS9100 or other industry quality standards

  • Effective presentation skills and demonstrated ability to develop messages and compelling strategies resulting in cross functional teams implementing and executing innovative solutions.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills

  • Previous leadership experience with direct reports

  • Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).

  • Experience with creating and implementing new processes, while effectively managing change

  • 10 Years of complex Quality Experience

  • Auditing Experience

  • Application of Quality principles in multiple program constructs (development, production, spares, etc)

  • Basis of Estimates (BOE) and/or Proposal Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.

  • Experience developing and driving Quality Management strategies resulting in optimal business outcomes.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
