Position at New Pig Corporation
Buyer I
The Buyer will report directly to the Director of Procurement and is an individual contributor who provides functional support while managing multiple supply chain projects as well as participating in learning opportunities in various supply chain functions.
Responsibilities
-
Issue purchase orders to suppliers and replenish inventory to acceptable levels
-
Track shipments and resolve order and pricing discrepancies
-
Manage ERP parameters to improve recommended replenishment quantities and order releases
-
Manage Supplier Relationships to improve product availability and reduce costs.
-
Follow-up on past due purchase orders
-
Proactively review inventory levels and expedite or delay purchase orders as needed
-
Communicate stockouts and when products will be available
-
Issue purchase orders for MRO and capital expenditures
-
Coordinate input of information related to new supplier onboarding
-
Collect and update information related to existing suppliers
-
Support the development, implementation and improvement of systems used in procurement
-
Respond professionally and timely to calls, emails, and other inquiries from the sales, product management, accounting and warehouse team members
-
Other duties as assigned by management

Contribute to a positive work environment that supports the New Pig culture

Adhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
Requirements
-
Associates degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
-
1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
-
Strong data analytics, communication (both written and oral), and problem-solving abilities
-
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Strong work ethic, characterized by initiative, drive and goal orientation
-
Experience with ERP systems a plus
-
Some travel required
