Full job description

Travel Medical Assistant

Bring preventive care directly to patients where it can make the biggest difference: in their homes. As a Travel Medical Assistant, you’ll complete scheduled wellness-focused visits across Lancaster County and potentially throughout Pennsylvania, helping seniors, children, and families stay healthier through unrushed, relationship-centered care.

Opportunity

This is a full-time, field-based Medical Assistant role focused on preventive care—not urgent care and not a traditional exam-room workflow. You’ll visit patients in their homes, support Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits, and document your work using modern EMR tools.

If you’re an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys independence, meaningful patient interaction, and being out in the community instead of working the same clinic floor every day, this role is built for you.

Location & Schedule

  • Field-based home visit role starting in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

  • Travel may extend throughout Pennsylvania based on patient needs

  • Full-time weekday schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Daily travel to patient homes is part of the role

What You Will Own

  • Visit patients in their homes for scheduled preventive care visits

  • Complete Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits

  • Support seniors, children, and families with patient-centered, unrushed care

  • Gather and document clinical information accurately in the EMR

  • Help identify care gaps and health concerns early through wellness-focused visits

  • Manage your day in a mobile, field-based workflow while staying organized and reliable

  • Represent high-quality, professional care in patients’ homes and communities

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience

  • Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification

  • Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience

  • Comfort traveling daily to patient homes

  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

  • Willingness to travel throughout Pennsylvania as patient coverage needs change

  • Ability to work independently in a field-based care environment

  • Interest in preventive care, community health, and meaningful patient relationships

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits

  • Experience conducting Well-Child Visits

  • Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience

  • EMR documentation experience in a clinical setting

  • Background supporting seniors, families, primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, or preventive care workflows

Compensation

The expected total compensation range is USD 31 Hourly.
