Full job description

Our client, Engineering & Technology is seeking a Test Engineer 3_USD to join their team. As a Test Engineer 3_USD, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting Test Operations and Instrumentation/Controls teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, clear technical communication, and a disciplined approach to test planning and execution, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Engineer 3_USD

Location: Longmont, CO

Pay Range: $40 - $65/hr based on candidates skills and experience

What's the Job?

  • Direct and coordinate engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices.

  • Determine the conditions under which tests will be conducted and define the phases of test operations.

  • Coordinate operational, functional, and performance phases of testing to ensure work is executed as planned.

  • Analyze and interpret test data to identify trends, validate results, and support engineering decision-making.

  • Prepare technical reports for use by engineering personnel, ensuring documentation is accurate, clear, and actionable.

What's Needed?

  • 5-7 years of experience in engineering test activities, including planning, execution, and data analysis.

  • Experience directing or coordinating engineering work involving instruments, equipment, and control devices.

  • Ability to define test conditions and structure test phases to support reliable outcomes.

  • Strong capability to analyze and interpret test data and translate findings into technical conclusions.

  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and communicating results to engineering stakeholders.
