Description Production Electronics Practical Engineer Scope: Full-time Reporting to: Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead

Role Overview We are looking for a highly hands-on Practical Electronics Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining manufacturing test equipment and jigs, troubleshooting electronic and multidisciplinary systems, supporting production and NPI activities, and improving manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, validate, and maintain electronic test jigs, fixtures, programming stations, and manufacturing test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, cables, test equipment, and production failures, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Define test methods, procedures, and acceptance criteria for assemblies and sub-systems.
  • Prepare wiring instructions, cable drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for production and training.
  • Support product development, prototype builds, NPI, production ramp-up, and mass production.
  • Provide DFM/DFT feedback and support system integration, verification, and production testing.
  • Collaborate with R&D, mechanical, software, quality, operations, production teams, and external suppliers.
  • Improve product and process quality by enhancing test coverage, equipment reliability, manufacturing processes, and key production KPIs.

Requirements Qualifications

  • Practical Electronics Engineer or similar.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in electronics, manufacturing/test engineering, NPI, or production support of multidisciplinary products.
  • Strong hands-on electronics skills, including soldering, cable assembly, crimping, wiring, connector installation, electronic troubleshooting, and software/FW installation and updates — must.
  • Experience designing and building electronic test jigs or test equipment — must.
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation — must.
  • Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers — must.
  • High level of written and spoken English — must, Spanish – an advantage.
  • Familiarity with PCBA/electronics manufacturing, scripting or programming, Arduino/Raspberry Pi/microcontrollers/PLCs, CAD/electrical CAD, NPI, or contract manufacturers — advantage.
  • Willingness to support overseas contract manufacturers and subcontractors as required.
