POSITION SUMMARY: Supports development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure products, processes, and materials meet customer, regulatory, safety, and company requirements. Supports product qualification, compliance testing, risk assessment, quality issue resolution, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and new product development programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support new product development through qualification planning, risk assessment, specification review, and validation of new products, packaging, and materials to all company, customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Support manufacturing problem solving/root cause analysis, SPC, and assigned continuous improvement programs.

  • Manage lab equipment and instrument calibrations, validations, and troubleshooting

  • Timely review of customer complaints using root cause analysis and CAPA implementation/effectiveness verification.

  • Support recurring product compliance testing and internal laboratory testing.

  • Support on-site and off-site quality and regulatory audits.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and complete all job functions in compliance with company guidelines, policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

SUPERVISION GIVEN: None

EDUCATION LEVEL:

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering or a related manufacturing function.

Preferred: Experience with product qualification, SPC, calibrations, plastics manufacturing, consumer products/packaging, and regulated children's products. Six Sigma Green Belt.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Exemplify values of integrity, ownership, leadership, teamwork and passion for winning.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, project coordination, and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of quality methods and systems, including SPC, statistics, sampling, calibration, and auditing.

  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis, 5 Why, Lean, and Six Sigma.

  • Skilled in reading, interpreting, and technical writing of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, standards, and test reports.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Copilot; SAP or equivalent ERP and quality software experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to stand/walk up to 75% of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to frequently bend and twist and have unrestricted use of upper extremities.

  • Push/Pull up to 100 pounds.
