Join Deloitte Tax's Washington National Tax practice and help address complex tax issues at the intersection of policy, legislation, and client service. As a Tax Senior, you will work with experienced specialists to analyze tax and finance matters affecting multinational corporations. This role offers the opportunity to build technical knowledge, contribute to high-impact analysis, and support sophisticated client engagements.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Senior on the Washington National Tax team, you will help analyze and address complex tax and finance matters affecting multinational corporations.

  • Research federal tax issues, legislative developments, regulations, and administrative guidance

  • Prepare technical memoranda, analyses, and presentation materials

  • Collaborate with Washington National Tax specialists and local office teams to evaluate tax positions, transactions, and compliance matters

  • Support the development of guidance on global tax and finance issues

  • Contribute to issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and client service delivery

The team

Deloitte Tax's Washington National Tax professionals bring specialized insight into the policy, legislative, and technical issues shaping today's tax environment. The team works closely with Deloitte practitioners and clients to evaluate complex matters, support decision-making, and help manage risk.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be currently in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 or have completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation.

  • Strong academic track record (3.0 GPA cumulative GPA required)

  • Bar exam eligibility before beginning full-time employment

  • You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required. You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations

  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

  • Availability to begin employment in Summer 2027

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, taxation, or law

  • Experience in tax, accounting, or legal services through internships, summer positions, or other professional roles

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $140,000.
