Highlights of your role:

Analyzes patient revenue and monitors efficiency of claims submission to expedite workflow. Maintains skills as Epic Lead for HB claims and works with Altru on upgrades and new processes. Assists in updating chargemaster with price increases or new CPT codes. Stays current with insurance processing regulations and instructs billers on all changes. Provides data to CFO for surveys and reports.

*It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.

What you’ll get to do in this role:

Reviews Epic WQs to monitor claims for exactness and timely filing

Stays current with insurance processing regulations and provides instructions to billers

Oversees productivity of billing staff and completes annual evaluations

Resolves customer complaints while working with Quality Director, Revenue Cycle Manager, or other staff as needed

Revalidates facility NPI #s and assists with credentialing of providers

Trains new staff

You’re an excellent fit, if you have:

  • high school diploma

  • previous insurance billing experience preferred

  • proficient with Microsoft Office

  • good attention to detail

  • ability to work independently

  • knowledge of insurance billing practices and medical terminology

  • supervisory skills
