Full job description

Regulatory reporting is one of the very few functions in a financial institution that touches every single business line at once. To build a report you need to understand where the data comes from, what it means in business terms, and how it connects across the organization, which makes this role an unusually fast way to learn how a bank actually works from the inside out.

Challenges that await you:

  • Execute the daily regulatory reporting cycle: verify automated pipeline runs, review generated files and confirm structural and functional consistency before submission.

  • Coordinate functional validation with report owners across Treasury, Accounting, Financial Risk, Compliance, Product, etc.

  • Support the regulatory transmission process, including coordination of required signatures, submission through official channels, and retrieval and filing of the CIDT confirmation.

  • Monitor Data Quality Check (DQC) alerts and pipeline execution alerts; escalate and follow up on inconsistencies with data owners and the technology team.

  • Support root-cause analysis, corrections and controlled retransmissions of regulatory formats when errors or regulator rejections occur.

  • Maintain and improve validation tools (Excel workbooks, control checklists, reconciliation files) used across the regulatory reporting cycle.

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new regulatory formats and for changes to existing ones.

  • Support the analysis of new regulatory requirements and their translation into functional specifications, together with the Manager and the business analysis team.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or a related field.

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial information, financial risk, accounting or data analysis, preferably within a financial institution supervised by the SFC or in an audit/consulting firm serving the financial sector.

  • Regulatory reporting knowledge: hands-on experience preparing or validating regulatory formats for the SFC or another regulator; familiarity with flat-file structures and the technical specifications published by the supervisor.

  • Advanced Excel: complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation and building control/reconciliation workbooks. This is a core, non-negotiable skill for the role.

  • SQL: intermediate level, ability to query, filter and cross-check data from a data warehouse to validate report outputs

  • Fluent English and Spanish is a must to have.

  • Knowledge of the Circular Básica Financiera (CBF) and the Circular Básica Jurídica (CBJ).

  • Experience with the CUIF chart of accounts and accounting/financial regulatory formats.

  • Familiarity with XBRL and the SFC transmission platform is a nice to have.

Our ways of working:

  • Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions.

  • Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication.

  • Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community.

  • Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together.

  • High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances.
