Full job description

Our client, is seeking a Field Support Engineer to join their team. As a Field Support Engineer, you will be part of the IT support organization supporting an executive-level user community. The ideal candidate will have strong customer communication, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-profile environment—aligning successfully with the organization’s service expectations.

Job Title: Field Support Engineer

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Range: $30/hour - $32/hour

What's the Job?

  • Configure, install, and test hardware components, including hardware deployment replacements, to support end-user needs.

  • Manage hardware and software service-related issues for end-users to prevent escalation, using the ServiceNow ticketing system.

  • Perform cross-divisional troubleshooting by updating and maintaining tickets with accurate status and documentation.

  • Reimage PCs, back up and restore user data, and validate device functionality after updates or deployments.

  • Install and confirm correct software versions on devices, ensuring functionality and resolving end-user machine issues using Wells utilities.

What's Needed?

  • 3–5 years of experience providing software/hardware support in a professional setting, including server and Cisco technology knowledge.

  • Proficiency troubleshooting and supporting MS Office applications, including MS Teams, Outlook, and Windows OS.

  • Experience assisting with administration of Virtual/Desktop/Laptop management and infrastructure applications, including VDI, patch management, encryption technologies, anti-virus, and incident/request management.

  • Prior experience working in ServiceNow (or a similar ticketing system) and using it to manage end-user support workflows.

  • Knowledge of two-factor authentication, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in work orders and tickets.
