Job Description

Insight Global is seeking experienced Epic Application Analysts to support its enterprise-wide Epic Refuel ("Back to Foundation") transformation initiative. Our Client has been live on Epic for more than two decades and is embarking on a large-scale effort to align workflows, build standards, and system configuration with Epic Foundation recommendations and industry best practices. The Epic Application Analyst will support both ongoing operational needs and Refuel-related optimization efforts within their assigned application area. Depending on team structure, analysts may focus on production support activities, Foundation build work, or a combination of both. Analysts will collaborate with operational leaders, clinicians, revenue cycle teams, informatics partners, project managers, and fellow Epic team members to support workflow standardization, system optimization, and long-term organizational transformation. The Refuel program is focused on reducing unnecessary customization, improving system maintainability, enhancing end-user experience, and positioning the organization to leverage future Epic enhancements and innovations. Responsibilities Support day-to-day Epic application operations, incident resolution, break-fix activities, enhancement requests, and ticket management. Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for alignment with Epic Foundation standards and best practices. Design, build, configure, test, and deploy Epic functionality within assigned application areas. Participate in Foundation build initiatives aimed at reducing customizations and standardizing workflows. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions. Support workflow validation, integrated testing, application upgrades, optimization efforts, and go-live readiness activities. Create and maintain application documentation, build specifications, workflows, testing scripts, and support materials. Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support to operational teams. Participate in governance discussions, change management activities, and decision-making processes related to Refuel initiatives. Work closely with project managers, informatics teams, operational leadership, and Epic stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications Active Epic certification in assigned application area. 5+ years of Epic application analyst experience. Experience supporting build, configuration, testing, optimization, and production support activities. Experience working directly with operational and business stakeholders. Strong understanding of Epic best practices and healthcare workflows. Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting operational teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Epic optimization or large-scale transformation initiatives. Experience with Epic Foundation methodologies and standardized workflow design. Experience supporting integrated testing, upgrades, and go-live events. Previous health system, academic medical center, or large integrated delivery network experience. Experience partnering with project managers, informaticists, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
