Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Job Description

The role of the Industrial Electrician is to troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain all plant electrical, instrumentation, and electronic equipment. The Electrician will also complete specific projects as assigned by the electrical supervisor or department manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all electrical repair work, preventative maintenance, and emergency call-out tasks on plant electrical equipment while maintaining code regulations, craftsmanship, quality, and professionalism.

  • Make recommendations for modifying PMR job plans throughout the facility.

  • Recommend additional spare parts requirements to immediate supervisor.

  • Maintain the integrity and general appearance of all electrical systems.

  • Ensure the reliability of equipment within standards.

  • Work collaboratively with team members both within and outside of your workgroup.

  • Troubleshoot potential concerns to achieve and maintain maximum productivity.

  • Report maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor.

  • Supervise and/or train contractors as required.

  • Generate work order notifications and follow-up as necessary.

  • Document work order history upon job completion.

  • Document all problem-solving efforts related to repeat problems/issues to avoid rework and establish a history.

  • Read plans, drawings, and manuals to aid in problem-solving efforts.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in mechanical, maintenance technician, and wiring.

  • Proficiency in repair and troubleshooting of electrical, PLCs, and schematics.

  • Knowledge in pneumatics and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the electrical field in the cement manufacturing or related industry.

  • Ability to meet on-call responsibilities and emergency call-out to support 24/7 operations.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, confined spaces, outside weather conditions, low and artificial lighting, and explosives. Employees will encounter wet and humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level is typically moderate and occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Work is primarily conducted outdoors throughout the entire shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgemere, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.55 - $37.55/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
