Job Overview

We are seeking a new Construction Inspector to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Construction Inspector, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located at our client site in Florida and requires a daily presence at the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the primary field representative, this team member ensures contractor adherence to quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) protocols by overseeing construction activities to ensure strict compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements

  • Perform daily field inspections to verify that construction activities comply with plans, technical specifications and contract requirements

  • Serve as the onsite field representative for our Florida projects

  • Monitor contractor workmanship, materials and installation methods to ensure quality and compliance

  • Maintain daily logs of activities, including work performed, labor, equipment and site conditions

  • Ensure all work adheres to safety requirements, including OSHA and client standards

  • Coordinate inspection activities around client schedules and operational safety zones to minimize disruption to building operations

  • Review and verify installed quantities to support contractor progress payments

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5–10 years of construction inspection experience

  • Demonstrated and relevant experience working on maritime, wharf, harbor or port infrastructure projects that service large ships

  • Physical ability to conduct site inspections in outdoor and industrial environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms

  • Have good to great organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced technical degree in construction management or civil engineering technology

  • Knowledge of independent testing and third-party inspection activities

Salary Range: $62,504-82,784, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
