Job Information

Lead and support one or more teams in an IPD environment to assess scope, develop schedule and budget and resources needs for manufacturing and facilities project execution to meet customer and internal requirements. Confirm requirements and scope, provide oversight and direction of relevant development activities, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, and any required assembly, test, delivery and field support issues which may be involved. Mentor team members in project management skills, tools and critical project needs. Develop and support collaborative working relationships, understand and communicate team priorities, assure appropriate staffing and resources are committed, and prepare and deliver project status reports for management review at appropriate intervals. Responsible for effective team leadership resulting in successful conclusion of the project(s), on time and on cost.

Job Requirement

Knowledge & Skills:

Teamwork:

Business Judgement:

  • Develop and utilize a structured benchmarking process for optimal analysis and results.

  • Requires close and effective collaboration with multi-functional groups, internal and external

  • Lead Peer Reviews, FMEA’s EH&S Reviews related to new product development for focus and re-focus

Customer Focus:

  • Focus the team on identifying and meeting customer requirements and expectations

  • Ensure customer commitments are met with quality products/results

  • Assure clear understanding of customers’ needs to make certain those needs are met

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS with 10+ years of experience

  • MA/MS with 7+ years of experience

  • PhD with 4+ years of experience

  • Prior project/program management/leadership experience, including responsibility for schedule and budget

  • Strong technical and engineering-focused skills and successes

  • Ability to set and direct priorities
