Biomedical / IT Equipment Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Biomedical / IT Equipment Technician to support a large healthcare technology and equipment project.

You do not need previous biomedical experience. This could be a great opportunity for someone coming from IT support, desktop support, hardware repair, electronics, mechanical repair, field service, or equipment maintenance who is comfortable troubleshooting equipment and keeping detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, tag, inventory, and document new medical and technical equipment

  • Set up and assemble equipment for use

  • Troubleshoot hardware and equipment issues

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance

  • Follow technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals

  • Maintain accurate equipment and inventory records

  • Use Microsoft Excel for documentation and tracking

  • Work alongside IT, clinical engineering, and other technical teams

  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE

  • Work in an active construction environment during the initial project phase

Top Skills

  • IT, electronics, mechanical, biomedical, hardware, or technical support experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
