Schedule: Full time Shift: 24 Hours (United States of America) Address: 401 PALMETTO ST City: NEW SMYRNA BEACH State: Florida Postal Code: 32168 Job Description:
- Ensures staff competency and maintains current documentation related to professional practice for performance evaluations.
- Establishes staffing patterns based on volume, competency levels, and utilization.
- Reviews staff payroll and labor distribution to ensure accurate recording of time and labor.
- Manages daily operations, staffing, and patient flow in the Pre-post surgical areas, including endoscopy, with twenty-four-hour accountability.
- Oversees and coordinates supply management in collaboration with materials management, anesthesia, and sterile processing.
- Develops, reviews, and implements policies and procedures to meet current standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicates, investigates, and follows up on significant issues, incidents, or trends, and reports to the Director.
- Promotes positive relationships between physicians and staff through effective communication and interaction.
- Actively participates in process improvement initiatives within the Surgical Services departments.
- Handles human resources functions, including recruitment, interviewing, selection, development, counseling, evaluation, and discipline of staff.
- Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance through recognition and learning opportunities.
- Ensures environmental cleanliness, order, and safety, and compliance with infection control practices in Perioperative Services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent customer service/communication skills [Required]
- PACU, Same Day Surgery or Endoscopy experience [Required]
- Surgical Services Supervisory experience, or progessive leadership experience in surgical services- pre-post or endoscopy [Required]
- Must be able to focus on Patient Experience [Required]
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel [Required]
- Must be familiar with ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses) standards [Required]
- Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environment [Preferred]
- Ability to work irregular hours including call hours as needed [Preferred]
Education:
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 2+ experience in surgical services, preferably leadership [Required]
- 2+ management or specialty team leader experience [Preferred]

- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

- Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$78,540.80 - $146,078.40 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
