Beacon Hill's client, a leading plaintiff-side litigation law firm, is seeking a Temporary Conflicts Specialist to provide leave coverage for the firm's Conflicts Manager.

Location: Remote (U.S.-based). Preferred locations include DC, MD, VA, PA, NJ, NY, and CA, with a s

trong preference for DMV-based candidates who can occasionally attend meetings in the DC office.

Qualified candidates outside these locations will also be considered.

Start: ASAP

Duration: Through October 2026

Hours: Full-time

Pay: $30/hour

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience evaluating client conflicts, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment

Bachelor's degree

Outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills (written and oral)

Demonstrated ability to propose ideas and solutions, listen actively, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Superior judgment and the ability to resolve conflicts and issues independently and professionally, with a high degree of discretion and a demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly efficient time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and independently

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Proficiency and experience with Intapp required

About the Role & Responsibilities:

The Temporary Conflicts Specialist works with the U.S. Conflicts and Compliance Partner and the Managing Partners in Germany and England to evaluate potential conflicts of interest on a global basis, in tandem with a Conflicts Specialist in England. The role is primarily focused on the day-to-day processing of various types of conflict checks (new clients, new matters, pitches, etc.), ensuring requests are handled properly, with prompt turnaround and clear communication, including managing the Intapp conflict check queue and responding to email requests.

Research potential clients and related entities

Manage the existing conflicts database

Draft and implement information barriers and ensure compliance

Respond to internal conflicts-related inquiries

Brief new attorney hires on the firm's conflicts system

Evaluate new software applications to streamline conflicts processes
