Data and Reporting Specialist
POSITION DETAILS
The Data and Reporting Specialist, reporting to the Dean of Career Advancement and Continuing Education in the Office of Academic Affairs, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure to support the goals and reporting requirements of Future of Work grants, Workforce Pell, and other workforce development and continuing education programs within the department.
The Data and Reporting Specialist will develop and maintain dashboards, reporting structures, digital data-collection tools, and other systems necessary to track and report key performance indicators to the College, CUNY Central, grant funders, and other stakeholders. The position will analyze and visualize data and prepare reports documenting program outcomes, completion metrics, and other performance measures.
This is a new role within Career Advancement and Continuing Education designed for an individual who is comfortable developing data systems and processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for tracking, collecting, analyzing, and reporting program inputs, outputs, and outcomes using existing systems, including XenDirect.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, data-collection tools, and other digital resources to support program monitoring and reporting requirements.
Train program staff across the unit on data entry, data management, reporting procedures, and the use of systems to input and retrieve program data.
Generate and analyze reports for Future of Work, Workforce Pell, and other grant-funded programs, as well as College and CUNY assessment and reporting requirements.
Lead and coordinate data collection and reporting requirements related to Workforce Pell.
Conduct data analysis and visualization to identify trends, monitor program performance, and support reporting on grant and program completion metrics.
Support labor market research and analysis to provide the department with information regarding employment trends, workforce demands, and other relevant labor market indicators.
Participate in departmental and team meetings and provide updates regarding data design, collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate with program staff and other stakeholders to identify data needs, improve data-collection processes, and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of reported information.
May oversee the work of a College Assistant or AHEO-level staff member in the future.
Perform related duties as assigned.
This position is fully grant-funded through June 30, 2028.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four year’s related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and implementing data collection systems and processes, streamlining tracking mechanisms, and training staff, including staff at various levels of the organization.
Extensive experience with data analysis, including the ability to interpret data and prepare clear, comprehensive reports for a variety of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop user-friendly dashboards and data visualization tools to monitor program performance and outcomes.
Familiarity with CUNY data management and reporting systems, including XenDirect, CUNYfirst, Brightspace, and CUNY dashboards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.

Salary range $77,097.00-$85,556.00; commensurate with education and experience.
