Job Title: Bakery Clerk
Location: Howell, New Jersey
Type: Contract-to-permanent
Compensation: $16.00 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Thursday & 9:00 AM-3:00 PM on Friday. Will be paid for 40 hour work week
Position Summary:
The Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, maintaining product displays, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the bakery is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and assist with product selection

Take and package customer orders accurately
-
Operate cash register and handle transactions

Slice and package baked goods
-
Restock displays and monitor product freshness

Assist with basic food prep and decorating as needed

Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards

Support team members during busy periods
Qualifications:

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Previous retail or food service experience preferred

Strong customer service and communication skills
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills for handling transactions

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
