Summary

This SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST position, is located in the Qualify Assurance Section of the 129th Rescue Wing's Maintenance Group is part of the CA 129 RQW. Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-12, is to provide management oversight and guidance to the budget formulation and execution process. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements

CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current California National Guard members. AREA III= Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. (Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the California National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Air Force CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment). Military Grades: E-8 or E-9 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, subject to funding and approval. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required. Qualifications

SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government; this experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas; Experience reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements; Experience reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. As a condition of employment, new appointees are required to serve a trial period.
