Full job description

Description

Through the direction of the Supervisor or Lead Person this individual is responsible for properly performing the match operation required for proper assembly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to obtain relevant information from a blueprint.

  • Match and assemble standard product on matching bench

  • Use skill and judgment in selecting correct sizes, ie inners, outers, balls

  • Matching and assemble higher precision products in the clean room performing additional duties such as:

  • Set ups

  • Weighted Greasing

  • Oil Plating

  • Noise testing

  • Vacuum bagging

  • diagnosing/troubleshooting and making corrections/adjustments/repairs to the mechanical equipment

  • Use various measuring devices to accurately maintain proper sizes and tolerances.

  • The measuring equipment used on the higher precision production requires higher skill than standard production and this individual must be able to troubleshoot some of these gaging issues.

  • Perform other Assembly duties when needed including

  • operating assembly equipment

  • Grease, cap, seal, bag, pack

  • Maintain accurate production records

  • Move material, products or components to and/or from other productions areas.

  • Most work is repetitive in nature and follows routing, prescribed methods

  • responsible for minimizing scrap and rework and quickly identifying issues that may prohibit production and reporting those issues to the Lead, or Supervisor.

  • All work areas must be kept clean and neat; may be assigned simple, routing preventive maintenance of equipment.

  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the position.
