What you'll do...
Role summary:
The Senior Director, Finance, leads the development and execution of strategic financial planning aligned with corporate objectives. This role partners across departments to assess risks, analyze business performance, and provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making. Responsible for overseeing financial reporting, control structures, and complex financial modeling, the position ensures accuracy and transparency in financial planning. The Senior Director fosters collaboration, drives continuous improvement, and supports talent development to maintain a high-performing finance organization dedicated to delivering sustainable business results.

Join a dedicated Central Finance team that leads enterprise-wide financial forecasting, planning, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the company. This team collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to develop financial models, manage risk controls, and enhance reporting transparency. Members are committed to driving business performance through clear communication, continuous improvement, and effective resource management. The team fosters a professional environment focused on talent development, accountability, and integrity, ensuring alignment with company values while delivering impactful financial insights that support Walmart’s mission to create opportunities and serve millions globally.
What you'll do:

Lead the development and communication of long-term strategic financial plans aligned with corporate goals.

Collaborate with leadership to analyze business performance, identify gaps, and provide risk assessments.

Oversee financial controls and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Direct the consolidation and review of global financial statements and variance analysis.

Provide strategic financial insights through complex modeling and executive presentations.

Drive business strategy by evaluating costs, forecasts, and operational processes.

Foster talent development, succession planning, and a culture of integrity and accountability.

Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic planning within complex organizations.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior management.

Strong expertise in risk management and control structures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Ability to develop and communicate actionable financial insights supporting business decisions and long-term goals.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
