IOSHA is a division of the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL). DIAL’s mission is to Achieve Compliance Through Education, Regulation, and Due Process for a Safe and Healthy Iowa. As an effective, efficient, and approachable regulatory agency comprised of eight core operational divisions, we are dedicated to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of all Iowans. Based out of our Des Moines central office, the Executive Officer 1 serves as a project coordinator, process improvement leader, change manager, and systems trainer for IOSHA. In this role, you will lead inter-program initiatives, drive business process enhancements, and support data systems implementations. Responsibilities include documenting workflows, testing software updates, delivering staff training, and identifying system enhancements. By collecting and analyzing operational data, you will advise leadership on resource allocation, workflow optimizations, and training strategies while managing key programmatic operations. We are looking for a motivated, highly organized professional with strong IT literacy and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate brings: •Working knowledge of Salesforce platforms. •Proven proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement techniques. •Demonstrated experience solving complex problems and guiding teams through organizational change. •Strong organizational and communication skills, high professional standards, attention to detail, and a naturally inquisitive mindset.   3. All of the following (a, b, and c): a. One year of full-time professional-level work experience in program administration, program development, program operations, or management; and b. A total of four years of education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience; and c. A total of two years of graduate-level education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university course work in a public-service-related area (e.g., public or business administration, social work, public health, law, education, engineering) equals one year of full-time experience. Graduation from the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program is also equivalent to one year of full-time experience or education.
  4. Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes thirty months of fulltime work as a Program Planner (any level), Management Analyst (any level), or Administrative Assistant (any level).
