Senior IT Project Manager (PMO Experience REQUIRED)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Project Manager to oversee and drive large-scale enterprise technology initiatives within a retail environment. This individual will serve as a key leader within the PMO, managing complex technical projects, enterprise integrations, and organizational transformation efforts. The ideal candidate possesses strong PMO expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record delivering strategic business and technology programs across large organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide technology and business transformation initiatives from planning through execution.

• Manage complex merger, acquisition, integration, and organizational change projects.

• Establish and maintain PMO governance, project controls, reporting frameworks, and delivery methodologies.

• Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.

• Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery.

• Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

• Oversee cross-functional teams across business and IT organizations to drive project objectives.

• Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues impacting delivery.

• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies through project execution and PMO best practices.

• Ensure successful implementation of enterprise applications, integrations, and technology modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management, Program Management, or PMO leadership experience.

• Strong experience leading technical projects within large enterprise organizations.

• Proven success managing enterprise integrations, mergers, acquisitions, or business transformation initiatives.

• Deep understanding of PMO governance, portfolio management, project lifecycle management, and delivery methodologies.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.

• Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Experience working within the retail industry or other large customer-facing environments.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
