Job Description - Social Media Videographer & Editor
As Social Media Videographer & Editor, you’ll be the creative force behind Coravin’s video content across advertising and organic social. You’ll plan, shoot, and edit videos that bring our wine by-the-glass systems, Coravin Guide, and Coravin Experiences community moments to life- content that’s creative, engaging, and built to perform.
You’ll work hands-on across the full video process, from concept and shoot-day execution to editing, sound, and final delivery - producing content built for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, as well as paid social ads.
Being part of the global digital growth team, you’ll help ensure every video we put into the world doesn’t just look good- it earns attention and drives results, whether that’s a thumb-stopping ad or an organic post people want to share.
If you’re a videographer and editor who thrives on turning raw footage into fast, punchy, story-driven content - and you’re passionate about wine and culture - this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end video production for social: concept, planning, booking (location, wine…), shoot, edit, and deliver content for both advertising and organic channels.
- Create video content that brings Coravin products, Coravin Guide, and Coravin Experiences community events to life across social platforms and paid media.
- Plan and shoot on location at Coravin Experience events, capturing authentic community moments, UGC-style footage, and testimonials.
- Edit raw footage into polished, platform-native videos, including sound design, motion graphics, captions, and pacing suited to each channel.
- Develop and test a range of video formats and creative hooks for paid social, using performance data to inform what to make next.
- Bring fresh ideas, trends, and creative experimentation into Coravin’s content while working within the brand’s creative direction, guidelines, and tone of voice.
- Build and maintain a lightweight production workflow (briefs, shot lists, asset libraries) to keep output consistent and scalable.
- Resourceful and hands-on: you’re more likely to think, “I can shoot this tomorrow with a camera, one light, a great location, and a clever concept,” than wait for a big production budget or crew.
- Manage video equipment and editing tools and keep footage and final files organized and accessible.
- Collaborate with community, growth, and brand content teams to repurpose footage across social, email, website, and other channels.
Skills & Characteristics
- Strong storytelling instinct - able to spot a moment and shape it into a video that’s engaging from the first three seconds.
- Skilled shooter and editor, comfortable working solo across shoot days, from lighting and framing to sound.
- Resourceful and hands-on - comfortable working with lean production budgets and finding creative ways to produce quality, engaging content without relying on large crews, expensive locations, or complex production setups.
- Deep understanding of what performs on social: hooks, pacing, captions, and native formats for Reels, Shorts, and paid ad units.
- Creative mindset with a strong visual eye - able to embrace trends and experiment with new ideas while working confidently within brand guidelines, creative direction, and tone of voice.
- Comfortable working fast and iterating, able to turn content around quickly for real-time or reactive moments.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple shoots, edits, and deadlines at once.
- Collaborative and open to feedback, comfortable briefing and being briefed by brand, growth, and community colleagues.
- Comfortable traveling to and working at live events, sometimes outside standard hours.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and lives the Coravin values.
- Passion for wine, food, culture, and storytelling is a strong plus.
Experience & Requirements
- Degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a videographer and/or video editor, ideally producing content for social media or digital advertising.
- A strong portfolio of social-first video content (organic and/or paid) with evidence of engagement or performance results.
- Hands-on proficiency with professional editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro) and camera/audio equipment.
- Experience shooting and editing for a range of formats: vertical/short-form, paid ad creative, and event or long-format content.
- Experience working cross-functionally with brand and growth teams.
- Comfortable working independently on set and managing your own shoot logistics.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Based in New York / New York area.
- Right to work / valid work permit in the US.
Success Metrics & KPIs (First 12 Months)
- Focus: build a consistent, high-performing video engine for Coravin across advertising and organic social.
- Deliver a steady content cadence: e.g. 14-16 organic videos per month and 4-6 pieces of paid ad creative per quarter (exact targets to be agreed).
- Build a reusable video content library (raw and edited assets) that can be repurposed across social, email, website, and editorial channels.
- Establish a repeatable production workflow, from brief to delivery, that reduces turnaround time per video.
- Test and identify new video formats and creative hooks that outperform existing benchmarks for paid social.
- Successfully manage own production budget, equipment, and timelines with minimal operational friction.
