Amergis is actively seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Chula Vista, CA for the 2026-2027 school year!

Position Details

  • Location: Chula Vista, CA

  • Start Date: 10/05/2026

  • Contract Length: 1 Year

  • Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week

  • Hours: 7.5 Hours per Day

  • Grade Level: Elementary School

  • Classroom Environment: Inclusion Setting

  • Behavioral Support Level: Low

  • Medical Support Level: Level 3

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with each student's plan of care. The OT will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to help students achieve success in the educational setting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of California

  • One (1) year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred

  • School-based experience preferred

  • Knowledge of applicable professional standards and practices

  • Current CPR certification if applicable

  • TB clearance as required

  • Current health certificate as required by state regulations

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation

  • Local Pay: Up to $65/hour

  • Travel Package Available: Up to $2,932.50/week

  • $25/hour taxable rate

  • Housing and meal stipends included

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice

  • One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
