Job Description

Eurofins PSS is hiring an Analytical Manager to support our pharmaceutical client in GMP testing, including samples within in-process, intermediates, raw materials, APIs, and stability. This team is focused on investigating samples and operations from the process sciences group in an effort to identify deviations and prepare batches for release. This individual must guide leaders and analysts to prioritize development of the team and scope of work. The successful candidate will have a background in GMP analytical chemistry as well as the ability to support new site setup, hiring team members, training team members, and more.

• Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environment
• Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines
• Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration
• Monthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managers
• Disseminate administrative communications
• Assist Director with business operations as needed
• Stays current within science and technology fields and consults knowledgeably with clients
• Assist in lab functions as needed

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• At minimum a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
• Scientific background, specifically within analytical chemistry, and 3+ years of hands on laboratory experience
• Must have proven experience in leading deviation investigations, CAPAs, OOS, etc.
• Strong leadership and project management skills including workflow design and tracking, maintaining, and providing accountability of metrics
• A good understanding of day to day business operations
• Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Business Management or similar
• PhD in Chemistry or related discipline

Additional Information

This position is full-time, 40-hours per week with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Albany, NY are encouraged to apply as this position will require working on-site full time. The manager will be overseeing 4 teams with different rotating shifts of 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am that will in all, cover 7 days per week and 24 hours per day. This position will likely work a shift that will include time overlapping part of both Day and Night shift teams. Excellent full-time benefits include:
