Full job description

The Senior Director, Future of Work leads the strategy, design, and execution of the Future of Work function that will shape how work, roles, skills, and workforce models evolve in response to AI, automation, and changing business needs.

This leader owns a multidisciplinary function that brings together work and role design, workforce transformation analytics, and AI and automation architecture. The Senior Director translates enterprise strategy into practical, scalable solutions; aligns Human Resources, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders; and ensures future-state workforce decisions are grounded in business needs, workforce insights, and technology feasibility.

The role is accountable for the Future of Work roadmap, operating model, governance, budget, resource planning, and measures of impact. The Senior Director also builds and develops a specialized team and advises senior leaders on complex decisions involving role design, workforce models, productivity, automation, and talent strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the multidisciplinary Future of Work function, spanning work and role design, workforce transformation analytics, and AI and automation architecture.

  • Own the Future of Work budget and resource planning, including the prioritization of people, capabilities, and technology investments

  • Own and execute the Future of Work strategy and 1- to 3-year roadmap, translating enterprise priorities into practical, scalable workforce solutions and operating practices.

  • Lead the redesign of work, roles, and workforce models in response to AI, automation, and evolving business needs.

  • Establish the functions operating model, governance, decision frameworks, standards, and execution approach.

  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across Human Resources, Technology, and Operations, including teams spanning multiple business areas or geographies, and influence senior leaders to align work design, workforce strategy, and technology feasibility and integration.

  • Drive data-backed decision-making related to future-state roles, workforce models, productivity improvements, and automation opportunities.

  • Define, monitor, and communicate the efficiency, capacity, productivity, adoption, and business outcome measures used to evaluate the functions impact and inform priorities.

  • Recommend and operationalize strategies, processes, policies, standards, and operating plans that directly advance functional and business objectives, including negotiating and influencing internal and external stakeholders to adopt new approaches.

  • Build and lead a high-performing specialized team, including workforce planning, hiring, coaching, performance management, career development, and continuous learning.

Minimum Requirements

'- Bachelors degree in relevant field of study.

-12 years of relevant professional experience required.

  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams or a mid-sized function and delivering complex, enterprise-wide initiatives in a large, matrixed environment.

  • Advanced leadership and management capability, including experience developing workforce plans and leading experienced professionals across multiple disciplines.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to brief and advise senior leaders on matters of strategic importance.

  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, including experience resolving complex, undefined issues, and translating strategy into scalable operational solutions.

  • Working knowledge of AI, automation, and their implications for work, roles, skills, and workforce models.

  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and priorities for a function or portfolio.
