Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a Sales Estimator / Account Manager with experience in the commercial fire alarm and security industry. This role is responsible for reviewing bid opportunities, RFIs, and project specifications, developing accurate estimates, and managing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate has experience working with commercial systems through organizations such as JCI, ADT Commercial, Sciens, or similar providers and is comfortable operating in a bid-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities Review bid packages, project plans, specifications, and RFIs to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals. Perform material takeoffs and estimate preparation using Bluebeam or similar software. Generate quotes for commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and security system projects. Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, and end users to drive sales growth. Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure estimates align with project execution requirements. Track project opportunities, margins, and sales performance to achieve annual growth targets. Participate in site visits and customer meetings as needed.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $75,000 - $95,000 6% commission TO START Company vehicle provided NICET certification assistance/reimbursement Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization
Skills and Requirements
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in commercial fire alarm, security, or low-voltage sales/estimating. Experience analyzing bid documents, specifications, and RFIs. Knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and life safety systems. Proficiency with Bluebeam for takeoffs and estimating preferred. Strong communication, customer relationship, and negotiation skills. Experience with JCI, ADT Commercial, Sciens, or similar organizations is highly preferred.
NICET certification is a plus (company support available for certification).
