Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves food to guest with high level of customer service.

  • Must understand and practice the concept of teamwork.

  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.

  • Must strive to provide guest with a memorable experience and exceed their expectations by anticipating their needs.

  • Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event.

  • Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary.

  • Prepare tables with place settings as instructed.

  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times

  • Ensure health codes are followed

  • Prepares food and beverage for customer

  • Follow all rules and regulations for serving alcohol.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have attention to detail.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and understand instructions and guest request.

  • Must have strong customer service skills.

  • Must have basic math skills

  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

  • Daily lifting up to 20 lbs., constant reaching, stooping, standing and walking. Must be able to balance serving trays and have good manual dexterity.

  • Required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.

  • This position requires work inside and outside of the building, parking lots included and some exposure to adverse conditions.

  • Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.

All Food & Beverage scheduling is dependent on The Dow Event Center and Huntington Event Park events calendar. Must be able to pass a background check to include a credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements
