Assistant Engineering Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a hands-on Assistant Engineering Manager who enjoys leading engineers while staying close to architecture, design, and complex technical problem solving. This role is ideal for an engineer who has recently stepped into management (1–3 years) and wants to continue developing as a hands-on technical leader, balancing architecture influence, team mentorship, and delivery leadership.

Skills and Requirements

•7+ years of software engineering experience •Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives •Strong background in cloud-native architecture and modern application development •Passion for technical leadership and building high-performing engineering teams •Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills •Interest in emerging technologies such as Generative AI is a plus, as we continue exploring AI-enabled capabilities in our platform

Tech Stack Backend: .NET, C#, REST APIs Frontend: TypeScript, React, Vue Cloud: Azure required, AWS a plus Data: SQL Server required, PostgreSQL a plus Architecture: API-first, event-driven systems Delivery: Agile
