THE WORK

  • As part of the RMS Quality Strategy & Supplier Quality Excellence (SQEx) team, this role will support RMS-level supplier quality data reporting, new SQE employee startup and support, and continuous learning initiatives.

  • Duties include improvement of current measures within SQEx & across RMS, data trending & analysis to drive improved supplier performance, creation & maintenance of SQA support materials such has training documentation, guidance and other resources.

  • Our team supports the streamlined and consistent execution of supplier quality tasks across RMS lines of business, and participates in corporate level initiatives, engaging with representatives from all business areas.

  • Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.

  • Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.

  • Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.

  • Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.

  • Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.

  • Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience

  • Quality or Operations experience required

  • Demonstrated project management ability

  • Understanding of procurement, and production operations

Desired Skills

  • Experience working complex projects from

start to finish

  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for

collaboration, communication, and presentations

at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong

customer relationships

  • Process improvement / process control

experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the

cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative

and qualitative analytical methods

  • Experience with Confluence and other digital

platforms that enable knowledge/documentation

  • Understanding of AS9100 requirements

  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization

to identify and drive systemic root cause and

corrective action utilizing quantitative and

qualitative analytical methods

  • Data querying/ reporting

  • Aerospace Quality, Supply Chain, or

Manufacturing experience

  • High energy, self-starting, team player who

  • Experience developing and executing

  • Green Belt, Black Belt, or CQE certification

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $94400.00 - $175200.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
