Pay Range: $81,000 to $117,000

Job Summary:

The Category Sourcing Manager will play a key role in developing and executing global sourcing strategies that support Tempur Sealy's business goals, product innovation, cost objectives, and supply continuity. This role will partner closely with Operations, Product Development, Marketing, Supplier Quality, Finance, and regional purchasing teams to manage assigned categories from strategy through execution.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, supplier relationship management experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

Develop and Execute Category Strategies

Support the development and implementation of global category sourcing strategies using Tempur Sealy's 6 Step Sourcing Process.

Conduct industry, technology, innovation, cost driver, and competitive landscape analysis to identify sourcing opportunities.

Analyze spend, total landed cost, supplier leverage, market dynamics, and multi-year category opportunities.

Build strategies that improve cost, quality, service, innovation, and continuity of supply.

Partner with regional purchasing teams to align local execution with global sourcing strategy.

Manage Supplier Relationships and Performance

Own supplier relationships for assigned categories, from daily operational support to executive-level supplier engagement.

Partner with internal stakeholders to support early supplier involvement in new materials, new product development, and product launches.

Lead supplier performance reviews using balanced scorecards and cross-functional business reviews.

Implement, maintain, and support compliance with supplier agreements, purchasing programs, and operational expectations.

Drive Cost, Risk, and Supply Chain Improvements

Use RFx processes, competitive benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and total cost models to identify sourcing and value creation opportunities.

Negotiate supplier agreements covering cost transparency, lead times, fulfillment strategies, payment terms, quality expectations, freight policies, technology collaboration, and disaster recovery planning.

Identify and support alternative sourcing opportunities with new or existing suppliers.

Develop and support risk assessments, mitigation plans, continuity of supply strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

Resolve supply, quality, pricing, scheduling, expediting, and discrepancy issues in partnership with internal business teams and suppliers.

Support Product Development and Operational Execution

Coordinate with New Product Development and Supplier Quality Engineering on new material specifications, supplier manufacturing processes, and supplier qualification activities.

Provide feedback to Manufacturing and Planning teams regarding supplier capabilities, capacity, and facility-specific product complexity.

Maintain accurate vendor master data and trade agreement information, including part numbers, pricing, nomenclature, shipping footprint, units of measure, lead times, and payment terms.

Identify post-launch value engineering opportunities and support project teams as appropriate.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, engineering, operations, supply chain, or a related field.

Strong analytical, math, business, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
