The Global Market Principal - Industrial is responsible for accelerating global market growth by defining strategy, enabling regional execution, shaping strategic pursuits and building differentiated industrial capability across Jacobs’ global platform.

The role will lead the development of future-ready industrial buildings and campuses, including flexible production environments, industrial and defense innovation hubs, urban and vertical manufacturing, smart logistics facilities, circular-economy and remanufacturing centers, workforce-development facilities, and the transformation of legacy industrial land and assets.

The successful candidate will connect regional opportunities with Jacobs’ global capabilities, helping clients improve operational performance, strengthen supply chains, advance digital transformation, deliver capital investments, and achieve sustainability and resilience objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Global Industrial Market Strategy:

  • Define and implement the global Industrial market strategy in alignment with Jacobs’ long-term growth objectives.

  • Establish scalable market plays across future-ready industrial buildings, campuses, logistics facilities, innovation hubs, circular-economy facilities and industrial land transformation.

  • Translate global priorities into regionally relevant growth plans reflecting market conditions, client needs, capital investment and delivery models.

  • Partner with regional leadership to prioritize investments based on market opportunity, strategic fit, win probability, margin potential and enterprise adjacency.

  • Monitor industrial trends, supply-chain investment, emerging technologies, regulatory developments and sustainability priorities.

Regional Growth Enablement:

  • Support regional leadership in developing market credibility, qualified pipeline and pursuit discipline.

  • Connect regional opportunities with Jacobs’ global expertise, experience and delivery capabilities.

  • Develop repeatable tools, market intelligence and pursuit strategies that accelerate growth, manage risk and improve margin performance.

  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions and technical disciplines.

  • Help identify capability gaps and prioritize targeted recruitment, development and partnerships.

Strategic Pursuits and Client Development:

  • Lead or support priority industrial pursuits where relationships, technical differentiation and integrated solutions are critical to success.

  • Build executive-level relationships with industrial clients, defense organizations, investors, developers, operators and ecosystem partners.

  • Position Jacobs as a trusted partner across the project lifecycle, from strategy and planning through design, delivery, operations and optimization.

  • Develop differentiated value propositions focused on productivity, resilience, sustainability, digital transformation and lifecycle value.

  • Partner with sales, account and regional growth teams to improve pipeline quality and strategic win rates.

Technical Leadership and Capability Building:

  • Advance technical excellence, best practices and thought leadership across the global Industrial market.

  • Guide the development of adaptable, automated, low-carbon and human-centered industrial environments.

  • Promote the integration of digital delivery, artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics and sustainable design.

  • Strengthen connectivity across planning, architecture, engineering, infrastructure, digital and program-delivery capabilities.

  • Help attract, develop and connect industrial talent across Jacobs.

Enterprise Integration:

  • Collaborate with Advanced Facilities, Energy & Power, Water and other complementary Jacobs markets.

  • Coordinate cross-market opportunities to establish clear ownership and integrated pursuit and delivery strategies.

  • Leverage Jacobs’ advisory, planning, design, engineering, digital, program management and delivery capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities where industrial investments create broader enterprise value.

  • Collaborate with PA Consulting and other advisory capabilities where business transformation, digital strategy or operational improvement can create additional client value.

Global Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-border collaboration among market, sales, technical and operational teams.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on market trends, investments and growth opportunities.

  • Represent Jacobs at client forums, industry events, trade associations and thought-leadership engagements.

  • Support annual business planning, investment priorities and market-performance reporting.

  • Champion Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and Together Beyond culture of belonging.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, engineering, industrial technology, or related discipline.

  • Significant experience supporting industrial clients, capital projects, industrial facilities or complex infrastructure development.

  • Demonstrated success in market growth, client development and strategic pursuits.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level client and partner relationships.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across geographies and organizational boundaries.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to travel globally as required.

  • Strong understanding of the future of industrial development, including digital manufacturing, automation, resilient supply chains, circularity, industrial decarbonization and sustainable development.

  • Established network of industrial clients, developers, investors, operators and industry partners.

  • Experience integrating advisory, planning, design, engineering, digital and delivery services to address complex client challenges.
