Full job description

Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

In this role, you will follow strict procedures for issuing parts from inventory for work-in-process orders, material usage, and shipping products. You will be responsible for picking materials, identifying shortages affecting production schedules, and reconciling inventory to minimize manufacturing downtime. You will also manage material receipts at the dock, sorting and delivering them to the appropriate locations.

Responsibilities

  • Issue parts from inventory for work-in-process orders, material usage, and shipping.

  • Pick materials and identify shortages affecting production schedules.

  • Reconcile inventory to eliminate extra costs and minimize manufacturing downtime.

  • Recognize and sort various types of material receipts at the dock.

  • Deliver materials to the appropriate location.

  • Utilize RF scanners for inventory control.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with material handling, packing, and picking.

  • Order picking and inventory control skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Computer experience, with ERP knowledge preferred.

  • Experience in high volume or automated distribution centers (DC).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience is optional.

  • Experience with inventory transactions.

  • Knowledge of GMP and UPS systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is a Non climate-controlled warehouse that is very team-oriented. You will need to be flexible and willing to work in different departments as needed. The position follows a shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of The Colony, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
