Summary
About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the Legal Command, 1st Legal Operations Detachment located in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties
- Process administrative actions using automated systems.
- Maintain organizational records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Review correspondence for submission to higher echelons.
- Preserve stock levels of organizational equipment.
- Monitor employee training programs.
- Enforce policies established by higher Headquarters.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Monitoring programs for the organization which include pay, personnel, medical readiness, training, or logistics; 2.) Processing administrative actions using automated systems; and 3.) Coordinating various types of meetings and training events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

This is a Military Personnel Management Career Program position aligned under the Human Capital & ResourceManagement (HC/RM) Career Management Directorate. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay. When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable. To be eligible to receive moving expenses, you must be a newly appointed Federal civilian employee or have a minimum of a 3-day break in service from previous Federal civilian employment. Recruitment and relocation incentives may be authorized. Student loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiations for candidates new to Federal service may be authorized. Credit for Prior Non-Federal Work Experience and Certain Military Service for determining Annual Leave Accrual Rate may be authorized.
