About Pangram Labs Pangram Labs is an AI research lab building state of the art detection products for text and image. We believe that transparency around authenticity and authorship is important, and that this is a pressing and growing issue in the era of AI proliferation. We're building a growing team focused on solving critical detection challenges for customers across sectors.

The Role We are looking for an experienced Recruiting & Talent Lead to build out our in-house talent motion. You will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to recruit top-tier talent to join Pangram. Additionally, this role will manage our people operations systems, including onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully recruiting for a variety of positions in the technology industry, be ambitious, independent, and comfortable working under ambiguity. You'll own recruiting and people ops at a fast-growing startup and define what the function becomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent and fill open positions in a timely manner

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding

  • Establish relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and develop strategies to meet those needs

  • Conduct candidate assessments, interviews, and reference checks

  • Develop job postings and manage job boards

  • Monitor recruitment performance metrics and provide regular updates to the team

  • Participate in recruitment-related events to promote the company

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of hiring processes

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and 401(k) through our PEO; manage employee and contractor records, offboarding, and equity coordination

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 4+ years recruiting in the technology industry

  • Track record closing technical candidates in a competitive market

  • Working knowledge of US employment basics

  • Comfortable operating independently and under ambiguity

  • Previous experience at an early stage startup

Compensation $150,000–$190,000 base salary + target 20% performance bonus, equity, and benefits
