Job Summary

The Human Resources position is responsible for performing generalist responsibilities including, but not limited to: employee and labor relations, fostering leadership success, shaping the employee experience, creating an inclusive culture, and policy improvement, implementation, and administration. This position's responsibilities include providing guidance to employees and management on company policy and practices, assisting with the implementation of HR initiatives and programs, managing job recruitment and employee onboarding, and acting as a resource to employees on HR-related matters.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with the implementation of HR initiatives and programs, learning and development, and workforce planning.

  • Participates in organizational effectiveness initiatives.

  • Acts as a resource to employees, including providing coaching and employee relations support.

  • Supports and facilitates communication strategies in support of HR, divisional and company programs, benefits and initiatives.

  • Recommends changes and enhancements to policies, practices and strategies.

  • Identifies and analyzes trends related to recurring issues and recommends approaches to the resolution or amelioration of these issues.

  • Organize and work independently on assigned task/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines.

  • Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers.

  • Conduct employee relations counseling and investigation.

  • Assure that appropriate corrective actions are consistently administered and advise management in various business units on appropriate resolutions.

  • Evaluate department in relation to established goals ensuring a balanced perspective and make recommendations to continually improve the efficiency and service of the department.

  • Tax incentives WOTC.

  • Audit compliance respond to all EEOC or DFEH complaints; oversee the coordination of training and employee engagement efforts; represent organization at unemployment hearings.

  • Support local community outreach initiatives.

  • Manage all job recruitment (includes interviewing), employee on-boarding, and employee off-boarding.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year)

  • 4-6 years Of related work experience with a concentration in Human Resources

  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to learn required business systems

  • Knowledge of large HRIS systems (UltiPro, SAP, ADP)

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws that affect HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory and compliance laws

  • Excellent critical thinking, project management and organizational skills

  • Collaborates effectively in a team environment

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence

  • Effective verbal and written communication, as well as ability to influence change

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively

  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Is preferred

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Is preferred

Payscale: $73,621.14 - $108,298.47

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
