Description

A leading social media and visual content publishing platform is seeking a Creator Content Counsel to support its Global Content organization as the volume of creator, content, and marketing work grows. Working closely with the attorney dedicated to this team, the selected attorney will handle agreements and counseling across creator programs, content production, partnerships, and promotions. This role requires hands-on experience with creator deals and the rights and clearance issues involved in producing and using content.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate creator, content licensing, development, production, sponsorship, brand collaboration, and related agreements with creators, agencies, studios, publishers, media partners, and service providers.

  • Counsel on creator programs, influencer partnerships, appearances, and content posted to the Pinterest platform.

  • Advise on content rights, clearances, licensing, and production requirements, including those associated with video and other creative assets.

  • Support contests and promotions, including drafting official rules, reviewing marketing materials, and advising on applicable platform and regulatory requirements.

  • Review external communications and provide practical legal advice to the Global Content organization.

  • Partner with product, engineering, communications, and legal teams as products and partnerships develop, and help create templates, playbooks, and processes that improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Active law license and approximately 5–7 years of relevant legal experience.

  • Direct experience negotiating agreements with creators or influencers and supporting creator or content programs.

  • Experience with contests and promotions, including official rules and marketing review.

  • Working knowledge of content licensing, rights and clearances, and content production.

  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and advise cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

  • Comfort using Google Workspace, Microsoft tools, and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in legal workflows.

  • Experience with a social media, user-generated content, media, or entertainment company is preferred; in-house experience is a plus.
