POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Coordinator supports McGough's Industrial sector by helping drive new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships through the development of proposals, presentations, qualifications, and strategic marketing initiatives. Working closely with business development and project teams, this role contributes to the pursuit of complex industrial projects.

Assigned to our Industrial sector group, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating pursuit deliverables, maintaining marketing resources, supporting client engagement efforts, and ensuring high-quality, technically focused marketing materials are delivered on schedule. This role collaborates with operations, preconstruction, and subject matter experts to communicate McGough's Industrial expertise, self-perform capabilities, safety culture, and project execution approach.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, works effectively with a wide range of people and teams, and is interested in supporting technically complex construction pursuits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred

Experience in A/E/C or professional services marketing

Familiarity with CRM systems and database management

Understanding of proposal development processes and brand standards

Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to ask effective questions, draft content, and improve efficiency

OFFICE AND TRAVEL

Hybrid office attendance.

Occasional travel to other offices and/or job site locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Pursuit Execution - 50% of Time

Assist in developing proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations

Organize and track deadlines for assigned pursuits

Gather and update project data, resumes, and visual assets

Proofread and format materials for consistency and accuracy

Business Development Support - 40% of Time

Support BD efforts by preparing materials for client meetings and events

Lead and facilitate regular meetings to keep pursuit efforts on track and aligned with company and business development strategies.

Assist with conference and tradeshow planning, including marketing materials and collateral

Conduct research to support prepositioning and client intelligence gathering

Maintain and update CRM (Salesforce), OpenAsset, and shared marketing resources

Collaboration and Teamwork - 10% of Time

Provide support to the Industrial Marketing Manager and Industrial marketing team

Provide additional support to other marketing teams as needed

Work collaboratively with marketing, BD, and communications teams to ensure alignment

Work closely with Communications team on development of collateral needed for Business Development and Pursuit-related needs.

Participate in professional development and team improvement efforts

Proposal Accuracy: <4% corrections needed across final materials.

Upkeep of Assets: <4 pursuits needing closeout at any given time.

Customization: 5% custom content developed with each submission.

Self Sufficiency: Ability to independently manage the full pursuit cycle (qualifications, proposal, interview) with limited supervisor support (<20%).

Process Improvement: Contribution of 1-2 implemented suggestions that improve the broader team's workflow.

Leveraging AI: Weekly reliance on AI to bring process efficiencies and/or reduce repeat, manual tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.


In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $72,000-80,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This includes insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability. We also provide generous retirement plans, voluntary benefit plans, parental leave, substantial paid time off, and holiday pay.
