Full job description
The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. Learn more about Louisiana Department of Health This position may be filled in the following parish(es): EAST BATON ROUGE Join the Office of Intellectual & Developmental Disability Supports (OIDD) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Louisiana’s youngest children and their families. Help strengthen EarlySteps by recruiting and supporting qualified providers, coordinating IDEA Part C training, and building a comprehensive system focused on provider development, retention, and public awareness. If you’re passionate about early intervention and creating opportunities for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we encourage you to apply! Those with experience in Early childhood, early intervention, EarlySteps, special education, and IDEA Part C services are encouraged to apply. Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Develops and maintains a comprehensive system of personnel development for EarlySteps.

Coordinates onboarding activities for new EarlySteps providers.

Supports the recruitment of qualified providers to meet EarlySteps service needs.

Develops strategies to promote provider retention and ongoing engagement.

Coordinates professional development opportunities to enhance provider knowledge and service delivery.

Promotes public awareness of EarlySteps and IDEA Part C services, programs, and provider opportunities.
