THE POSITION

As a Program Analyst 2 with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), you will play a key role in enhancing program operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports program evaluation, survey management, and data analysis to help improve PennDOT operations and support strategic goals. As a Program Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Survey Coordination: Manage survey schedules, maintain documentation, and support users with design and development

  • Data Review: Analyze survey results using statistical methods and prepare reports, charts, and written summaries

  • Program Assessment: Evaluate agency programs to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities

  • Technical Development: Create Excel workbooks and PowerBI dashboards that help staff review and understand key data

  • Research Support: Collect information, perform analysis, and assist with recommendations for program and project improvements

  • Reporting Preparation: Develop presentations and written documents for agency staff, leadership, and external stakeholders

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Program Analyst 1 ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ;or

  • Two years of analytical experience, one of which includes professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree;or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
