Shift: Full-time, (3) 12 hour shifts: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, for 72 hours per pay period, there is a holiday and call rotation.

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse , you'll work alongside skilled surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure every patient receives outstanding care before, during, and after surgery. From preparing the operating room to advocating for patients throughout their surgical experience, you'll be an essential part of a collaborative team dedicated to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile operating room environment.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Monitor patients throughout surgery, ensuring safety and responding to changes in condition.

  • Accurately document patient care, medications, and surgical procedures.

  • Advocate for patients while delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.

  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within (3) months from date of hire

  • Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or within (6) months from date of hire
