Full job description

Hourly Range: $21 USD to $45 USD

Description

Activities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure that documentation is accurate, contemporaneous, and effectively communicates all informationrequired to be regulatory compliant. Provide thorough documentation that can be clearly understood by a reader. The ability to read andwrite is critical to this position given the documentation which must be completed. Promote and oversee the safety and well-being of the children through use of written, verbal procedures,safety equipment and awareness of any potential dangers. Attend to personal, self-care and other program needs that the children cannot independentlyaccomplish. Keep the nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns. Provide support and consultation and initiate peer support among program participants. Promote student input in the development of program activities. Oversee the safety and well-being of the children. Oversee and upkeep the maintenance of equipment and supplies. Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings, andcommittees. Maintain documentation as required. Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employeesand assimilates new employees to the Agency’s culture, values and mission. Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standardsQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma required Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and current NYS Registration Certificate. One-Step TB test required prior to first day of employment Ability to lift and/or assist children in your care and the ability to meet the physical requirements of thespecific job. Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel). This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individualsreceiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check underOPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) or OCFS (Office of Children and FamilyServices). Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
