As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Governance in Totowa, NJ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.

• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.

• Operate access-control systems, issue and recover badges or credentials as authorized, and support security-related documentation requirements.

• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
