The Johns Hopkins Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking an outstanding General Comprehensive Otolaryngologist to join our growing faculty at multiple practice locations in the Baltimore and National Capital Region (Washington DC metro area). This is an exceptional opportunity to build a rewarding clinical practice within one of the nation's premier academic health systems while delivering outstanding patient care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for a broad spectrum of otolaryngologic conditions in both adult and pediatric patients, supported by a full range of audiologic and ancillary services. In addition to a robust general otolaryngology practice, this position offers the opportunity to cultivate individual clinical interests while benefiting from the expertise, mentorship, and collaboration of nationally recognized colleagues across every otolaryngology subspecialty.

The Johns Hopkins Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is an international leader in otolaryngology and head and neck cancer care. Founded in 1914, we have been delivering expert patient care and research innovation for over a century. Our surgeons see patients at eight outpatient sites and operate at four hospitals and three ASC's. We offer comprehensive otolaryngology services in all subspecialties including audiology, cochlear implant and rehabilitation, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, general otolaryngology, head and neck cancer surgery, laryngeal and airway disorders, otology and neurotology, pediatric otolaryngology, rhinology, skull base tumors, sleep surgery and thyroid and parathyroid disorders.
The anticipated total compensation range is $250k-$450k+, depending on academic rank, experience, clinical effort, and productivity.
This position resides in the Baltimore and National Capital Region (Washington DC metro area)

Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Demonstrated expertise in the evaluation and surgical and medical management of a wide range of general otolaryngologic conditions in adult and pediatric patients.

Salary: $250,000 - $450,000

Salary Range
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

Vaccine Requirements
Johns Hopkins University strongly encourages, but no longer requires, at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This change does not apply to the School of Medicine (SOM). SOM hires must be fully vaccinated with an FDA COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of vaccination status. We still require all faculty, staff, and students to receive the seasonal flu vaccine.
Exceptions to the seasonal flu vaccine or COVID-19 vaccine (for SOM) requirement(s) may be provided to individuals with sincerely held religious beliefs or medical conditions that preclude them from receiving the vaccine. The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those candidates who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
