Basic Job Functions:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the coordination, oversight and execution of Nucors accounting, reporting, and internal control related activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting, costing files, assisting with annual budget, monthly balancing, tax and inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc. This position will also, take a lead role in the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, control and system improvements, supervise external and internal audit processes and ensure that proper internal controls are maintained: and provide analytical support to other departments as it relates to accounting issues and drive continuous cost improvements across all aspects of the business. Responsible for staff training and the development and growth opportunities for finance department teammates. Serve as backup to Controller and other finance department functions as needed. The successful candidate will uphold Nucors values such as integrity, work ethic, and personal responsibility. Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business (emphasis in accounting) or related field

Experience with Financial Reporting Systems and various analysis tools

Desire mobility and aptitude to become a Controller within Nucor
