Position Title: Outdoor Recreation Guide Location: South Texas, approximately 10 miles south of Falfurrias, TX Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite / Remote Lodge Location Assignment Length:2 Years Potential Conversion: Possible based on performance Position Description and Job Skill Set Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Hunting & Fishing Guide to support hunting and fishing trips for individuals and groups as part of client entertainment and operational activities. The successful candidate will have extensive outdoor recreation and guiding experience, strong knowledge of local game laws and wildlife, and the ability to work effectively in a remote South Texas environment. This role involves planning and leading hunting and fishing trips, transporting guests and equipment, providing instruction on hunting and fishing equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable game laws, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for clients. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate hunting and fishing trips based on knowledge of local terrain, wildlife, habitats, routes, and hunting areas. Guide individuals and groups during hunting and fishing activities. Transport clients, equipment, supplies, and gear to hunting and fishing locations. Provide instruction on the safe and proper use of hunting and fishing equipment and firearms. Maintain a strong working knowledge of Texas hunting and game laws and ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations. Demonstrate and enforce proper firearms safety and hunting practices. Identify and provide guidance on local wildlife, including deer, nilgai, javelina, hog, quail, and dove. Field dress game animals as required. Provide basic first aid and respond appropriately to injuries or emergencies. Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of lodge facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment.
